One last look
With the European Parliament election 2019 approaching, there is an increasing number of forecasts (see for instance the aggregate numbers from Politico / pollofpolls.eu, or this visualisation based on the projection provided by the European Parliament from April). It is also an opportunity for one final look at the seating in the EP now (May 2019) - mainly to show where the seats for the political groups in the EP are coming from geographically. The majority of party families is widespread throughout Europe, while others get their support from a few countries. Hopefully there will be a similar visualisation after the election to show the changes.
